Communications industry in Israel has overcome major changes and developed dramatically over the recent decade. In 2000s the main changes were connected with mobile telephony and broadband markets. This happens due to the fact that companies prefer steady subscriber base increase to stability of their services.

Major mobile operators in Israel are Cellcom, Pelephone, Partner and Mirs. The first three account for almost identical shares of 30-35% and Mirs has only 4% of market share. Internet access in Israel is provided by two infrastructure owners, Bezeq and Hot, which lend the capability to ISPs.
